I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (which I originally featured in this post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! Do they fit as expected?

I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair.

Are they comfortable?

Honestly, they feel great, and only took a few hours to break in..

How do they perform over time?

Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.

How are they vs. other brands?

They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They have a hidden arch lift that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the sparkle on mine? Stunning.

Would you recommend them?

Yes! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re expensive, so getting them on sale is smarter. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you find a style that suits you. I chose a loud pair, but a neutral version would also be smart.

Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid.
